It’s Fall, y’all! I’ve been saying this for the last week or so, but it’s for real, now. We’re past peak on the leaves changing color and next week is supposed to be highs in the lower 40’s. And if the weather wasn’t making it obvious, the Pumpkin Spice craze would be.
I’d never had a Pumpkin Spice Coffee until last year. Not gonna lie, I wasn’t that impressed. I like my coffee dark, and Pumpkin Spice is pretty light. But then, I came across a recipe for a Pumpkin Spice milkshake, and I had to try it, especially when I realized it called for actual pumpkin.
It’s a simple recipe, calling for Vanilla ice cream, pureed pumpkin, vanilla, milk, and you guessed it, Pumpkin Spice! I kid you not, it tasted like I was drinking a piece of Pumpkin pie.
A couple of tips – use GOOD ice cream, a premium brand Vanilla bean is terrific. And if the shake is too thick, add a little more milk to thin it out.
Pumpkin Spice Milkshake
2 cups Vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
3/4 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie spice
Place all ingredients in a blender, put the lid on, and blend on medium speed until everything is blended together well. Pour into tall glasses, and drink.If my posts are helpful to you, feel free to add to my pantry budget.
