Remember the “Uncle Sam Needs You” posters? This post is sort of like that, only maybe not as imperative.
You see, I started this blog as a place to direct people when they asked me how to make a certain dish. I figured if I could just send them to my “virtual cookbook” it would make it so much easier. But then, I realized I have thoughts and feelings about food and cooking. And then I realized my thoughts and feelings aren’t the same as everyone else’s.
I have posts I’d like to write, but they aren’t just recipes or kitchen tips and tricks. For many people food is the enemy, or something that could literally sicken or kill them. For instance, I can’t eat foods that contain MSG, because it gives me debilitating headaches.
I want to write about the battles fought around food, the fact that we live in a world where access to food is easy, but there is still food instability, and also how food is what fuels our bodies and yet so many are starving.
I’m also really shy. And trying to promote myself is difficult for me.
